Davis Shores fills the north end of Anastasia Island, just across Matanzas Bay from downtown St. Augustine, with streets laid out along Anastasia Boulevard and Matanzas Boulevard. Homes here are a mix of single-family houses from the 1960s through the 1980s, newer infill homes, and a good number of condos and townhomes such as Cortez on the Water and the townhomes on Arricola Avenue. Two of St. Augustine's best-known attractions are in the neighborhood: the St. Augustine Light, built between 1871 and 1874 and still a working lighthouse, and the St. Augustine Alligator Farm, open since 1893.
