Fishweir Park is an older Jacksonville subdivision in Duval County, on the west side of the St. Johns River in the Avondale and Murray Hill area, taking its name from Fishweir Creek and the parkland along it. This is one of Jacksonville's early streetcar-era residential districts, where brick streets in places, mature oak canopy, and homes from the first half of the twentieth century give the streets a settled, shaded character. Housing here is single-family in nature, ranging from modest cottages to larger houses on the higher ground nearer the river, many of them renovated over the decades. Duval County Public Schools serves the neighborhood, including Fishweir Elementary, and the Avondale shops, Five Points, and downtown across the river are all nearby. Because the subdivision is small and long built out, listings appear only occasionally. See Fishweir Park homes currently listed below.
