Heartwood Homes for Sale

Heartwood is a residential community in St. Augustine, in St. Johns County on Florida's historic coast, south of Jacksonville and along the Matanzas River. The community name reflects its wooded setting, in a part of the county where newer neighborhoods are carved from pine and oak hammock between the Intracoastal Waterway and the inland highway corridors. Homes here follow the detached, suburban pattern common across growing St. Augustine, set along internal streets with lawns and preserved trees, while the beaches of Anastasia Island and the historic downtown district lie within the wider area the community draws on for shopping, dining and recreation. The setting is quieter and more inland than the city island neighborhoods, with daily life oriented toward local schools and county services. Public schools are part of the St. Johns County School District. Browse current Heartwood homes for sale below.
