Husson's Addition is one of the historic plats of Palatka, the Putnam County seat on the west bank of the St. Johns River. Palatka is one of Florida's older river towns, and its early additions were laid out in a street grid near the downtown, the courthouse and the riverfront. Homes in these old plats are generally modest, older single-family houses on city lots, mixed in with the everyday life of a working county seat: local shops, St. Johns River State College and the Ravine Gardens State Park on the town's edge. The St. Johns River itself, with its marina, boat ramps and Memorial Bridge crossing to East Palatka, anchors the town. Public schools are part of the Putnam County School District.
