Kingsley Lake is a small lakeside community on the western shore of one of Florida's most unusual lakes, an almost perfectly round body of water of about 2,000 acres in Clay County, about six miles east of Starke. The lake is clear and sandy-bottomed, reaching about 100 feet deep in a sinkhole, and some sources call it the oldest and highest lake in the state. Around 180 docks line the shore, mostly along the western half where the homes are, while Camp Blanding occupies the eastern side. Homes here use Starke addresses, and listings are few at any given time. NAS Jacksonville is about 31 miles away. Public schools are part of Clay County District Schools.
