Magnolia is a subdivision in Middleburg, in the Black Creek country of Clay County southwest of Jacksonville. Middleburg is one of the older settlements in the county, and the land around it is defined by the north and south forks of Black Creek, pine flatwoods and the edge of Jennings State Forest to the west. That setting gives neighborhoods here a wooded, semi-rural character, with the conveniences of Blanding Boulevard to the east and Orange Park and Jacksonville beyond it. Magnolia sits within that landscape, a residential community in a part of Clay County where country roads and newer subdivisions sit side by side. Public schools serving the area are part of Clay County District Schools, and recreation centers on the creeks, the state forest trails and county parks.
