The Middleburg area spreads across northwest-central Clay County along Blanding Boulevard, which runs about 13 miles northeast to Orange Park. Middleburg grew up in the 1820s and 1830s as a river landing on Black Creek, and the Middleburg Historic District preserves that early history. Today the area mixes established neighborhoods, newer subdivisions and plenty of homes on larger lots and rural acreage. NAS Jacksonville is about 20 miles away by car, a commute many residents make up Blanding Boulevard. Public schools are part of Clay County District Schools. The north and south forks of Black Creek wind through the area, which was once the site of Fort Heileman, an 1836 supply depot. Browse current Middleburg-area homes for sale below.
