Oceangate is a small townhouse community in Atlantic Beach, in Duval County at the northern end of the Jacksonville Beaches, set along Oceangate near the ocean side of town. Atlantic Beach is a compact, mostly residential city, and Oceangate fits that scale, a newer pocket of attached homes among older beach houses and condominiums. Current listings are townhouses, priced from $295,000 to $300,000, with a median around $297,500. The townhouses currently listed are typically around 1,324 square feet and were built around 2016, making them some of the newer construction in a town where much of the housing stock is considerably older. Public schools are part of Duval County Public Schools. The beach, Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park and the Mayport ferry area are all close by, and Atlantic Boulevard leads west into Jacksonville.
