Sonoma Southside is a residential subdivision on Jacksonville's Southside, the large area east of the St. Johns River and south of Downtown in Duval County. The Southside grew rapidly in the second half of the twentieth century along corridors such as Southside Boulevard and Baymeadows Road, and its neighborhoods mix established streets with later subdivisions built as the city pushed outward. Housing in Sonoma Southside follows that suburban pattern, with homes set on residential streets close to the Southside's shopping, offices and everyday services. Public schools are part of Duval County Public Schools. The St. Johns River and Downtown Jacksonville lie to the northwest, and the beaches are reached east through the Southside's main arterial roads. See the current Sonoma Southside homes for sale below.
